It's a really cute, easy, and affordable Halloween decor hack for only $3!! Plus I have a stencil for you to download and print to make it even EASIER! Step-By-Step How To Make “Hey Boo” Halloween Banner with Felt Ghost: Dollar Tree Halloween DIY

Supplies:

• Yarn/string
• Black poster paper
• White felt
• Stuffing (optional)
• Black Marker
• Hot Glue
• Scissors

Step 1: Stencil

I made a really easy stencil for you to print off and use in creating this Halloween DIY!

Page 13 is the ghost stencil, and pages 14 and 15 are for the text (see step 3 before you print the text though!)

You can freehand stencil/sketch your design too.

Step 2: Cut your ghost

Once you have your ghost printable layer the ghost on top of the white felt and cut out the ghost form.

Tips for cutting your ghost this way:

1. If you want to create a stuff ghost, fold the felt in half, so you are cutting 2 ghosts at once evenly.
2. It's helpful to tape the printed ghost on with some scotch tape (see video)

Alternatively, you can freehand cut a ghost. Just keep the proportions of your ghost in mind to the height of your text!

Step 3: Cut your letters

I took my black poster paper and cut it into two 8.5×11 in pages so they would fit my printer. Then I printed the text stencil directly onto the black paper. From there I just cut.

If you want to freehand your letters, go for it!

Step 4: Assemble your ghost (if stuffing)

If you are stuffing your ghost like I did, trace a thin line of hot glue on the rim of one of your ghost forms. Leave a little spot without hot glue (this is where you're stuffing will go). Place the other ghost ontop of the glue. Press firmly.

Take some old pillow stuffing or some spider cob web and stuff the ghost form (you only need a little!).

Then add a little glue to your opening to seal it off!

Step 5: Assemble your garland!

Add a little hot glue to back of the tips of your letters, and to the back of your ghost and assemble!

NOTE: you can also hole punch the tops of the letters and string them on.
